An event QR code stores the details of an event — title, location, and start and end times — using the standard calendar format. When scanned, the phone offers to add the event straight to its calendar.

The code uses the universal iCalendar (VEVENT) format, which Apple Calendar, Google Calendar and most other calendar apps understand.
Times are encoded in the local time you enter. For events across time zones, mention the time zone in the title or description to avoid confusion.
