About the URL Encode / Decode
URLs can only contain certain characters, so spaces and symbols must be percent-encoded (for example a space becomes %20). This tool encodes text for safe use in a URL and decodes encoded URLs back to readable text.
Switch between full-URL and component encoding depending on whether you are encoding a whole address or a single query value. It all runs in your browser.
For example, with Component on, “hello world & more” becomes “hello%20world%20%26%20more” — the space and the ampersand are both escaped. With Component off, a complete address keeps its structural characters like : / ? & = working.
